Even after nearly six years of running this blog, I still get giddy about featuring weddings or inspiration shoots planned, brought to life, and photographed outside the United States. So when Sanne Popijus Fotografie sent over this soft and neutral Netherlands wedding inspiration, I was excited to be able to share it with you!
This amazing shoot included natural, soft, balanced colors and loads of succulents as well as romance. The color palette chosen was beige, ivory and brown with copper elements, giving it a sweet and delicate spark.
The bride wore a beautiful gown from Venus Bridal (via La Nova Bruidsmode) that has a romantic, feminine look and lots of lovely lace. And the flower and greens in the bride's hairpiece combined beautifully with the whole bridal look and of course with the stunning bridal bouquet.
Let's not forget about the groom. He wore a handsome suit along with his wooden ("I do", "Me too") cufflinks, which tied in with the theme perfectly.
The went outside the box to the create a great sweets table with a gorgeous macramé backdrop to display the delicate cakes and sweets. And they used vintage wood and lots of greens and succulents to emphasize the rustic feel of the shoot, which all mixed perfectly in the venue's Wooden House.
In my opinion, rustic inspiration can be overdone, and there's a fine line for me where I either love it or not. Lately, I feel I'm drawn to rustic elements when they're done with elegance to create a rustic chic look like what's done here today.
