Sorry to say that the photo you are showing and circulated is not of NAGAPUSHPAM/CANNONBALL FLOWER it is a SEA CREATURE,

Cannonball flower / Naga pushpam

The naga pushpam or nagalingapoo is the flower of the Naga lingam/ Cannon ball Tree. The tree is considered sacred and is often grown in Shiva temples in India. The flowers as you can see resemble the hood of a snake over a lingam and hence the name nagalingam. It is said to be the favourite flower of Lord Shiva.
