Inception fans, we might not have gotten enough from Cristopher Nolan's movie of epic proportions, but here's a little something that'll surely have you glued to the screen of your device. Turkish artist Aydın Büyüktaş, aiming to challenge the viewer's perspective, has distorted the city of Istanbul into something truly surreal.
The idea was originally inspired by Edwin A. Abbotts satirical novel Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions. A story of a two-dimensional world occupied by geometric figures. Talking about his project, titled 'Flatland', Büyüktaş says, We live in places that most of the times dont draw our attention, places that transform our memories, places that the artist gives another dimension, these works aim to leave the viewer alone with a surprising visuality, ironic as well as multidimensional, romantic point of view.
