"You have cancer".
It's one of the scariest phrases that all of us hope we'll never hear in our lives. The scarier part is that 1 in 2 men, and 1 in 3 women WILL hear those words at some point in their lives, according to the World Health Organization.
Almost all of us have unfortunately lost a loved one or a friend to cancer, or had a good friend that lost a parent or other relative. Our family lost my grandfather to cancer over 10 years ago. I really miss him.
I remember he used to drink a lot of soda (not uncommon for most americans), and as you probably know, there are strong links in science between sugar and cancer. After all, sugar feeds cancer. So while sugar may not have caused my grandpop's cancer in the first place (there are LOTS of possible environmental, nutritional, and other lifestyle causes), it certainly wasn't helping his internal biochemistry, and in fact, it was most likely feeding the fire to make things worse.
Luckily, there are plenty of natural ways to reduce your risk of getting cancer, and for those that are already fighting cancer, there are even some more natural solutions being researched that aren't as harmful to the rest of your body as chemo and radiation.
