5 Ways In Which A 5-Minute Break At Work Could Recharge Your Batteries

Do you often feel exhausted by the end of the day? Your back hurts, your whole body is stiff, and you have a throbbing headache?

Well, we have a super simple solution to all your problems. Just take a 5 minute break every hour. You can set an alarm on your phone, or download an app that reminds you automatically yes, there are actually apps for this!

Heres what you should do during the break.

1. Walk around.

This will get your blood circulation going and ease the tremendous pressure that sitting places on your body.

2. Stretch if you need to.

If your shoulders, back and neck tend to get stiff from hunching over your desk, do some basic stretches to loosen up your muscles. Convince a friend to do them with you, so that you dont feel silly doing them alone. Neck rotations and shoulder rotations are easy but effective exercise options.

3. Drink some water.

Water powers up your brain and gives you more energy almost instantly. If you dont drink enough water during the day, this system will help you stay more hydrated.

4. Close your eyes, or focus on objects that are far away.

Your eye muscles get tired as well, so its a good idea to relax them by either closing your eyes, or looking at objects that are far away. If youve been staring at a computer or stack of papers continuously, looking at something far away gives your eye muscles a chance to stretch themselves.

5. Chat with a friend.

Spending time with your friends, laughing and chatting about your day can be a major stress reliever that will make you feel better.

At the end of your break, you'll be able to go back to work refreshed and recharged!
