The seasons as we know it are dead, at least in peninsular India. The summers and monsoons are lethal, but autumn is almost unheard of, unless of course, you witness it first hand in the northern states of Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. But here's proof of what a beautiful time it is!
1. A man picks saffron flowers in Pampore outside Srinagar.
2. Students walk over fallen chinar leaves on the campus of Kashmir University
3. A couple enjoy the view of Pari Mahal garden in Srinagar
4. A boy cycles under a canopy of crimson
5. Young men row on the waters of the Dal Lake
6. A serene scene outside Dharamsala
7. A mystical trail enchants the photographer at a national park in Uttarakhand
8. A monastery rests on a backdrop of stone and yellow in Ladakh
9. Men warm their hands after burning a pile of maple leaves in Kashmir
10. Leaves turn red in Uttarakhand
