Tax levied on food-courts opened for Amarnath pilgrims

Hindutvavadis staging demonstrations at Uchagaon

Uchgaon, Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has levied tax on food-courts operated for Shri Amarnath pilgrims and we strongly condemn this decision. The Government extends aid for Haj pilgrimage but levies tax on Hindus' pilgrimages. It is beyond tolerance. The Government should take care of Hindus' religious sentiments and withdraw this tax immediately or beware, warned Shri. Suhas Patil of Shiv Sena. Demonstrations were staged under the aegis of 'Rashtriya Hindu Andolan' on 6th July at 'Uchgaon Phata' when he addressed the demonstrators.

Shri. Sagar Patil of Shiv Sena said, "Enemy who openly attacks, is better. However, the BJP- PDP Government has started harassing the Hindus. Terrorists have been given a free hand and they have created problems for Amarnath pilgrimage." Shri. Vijay Gulawe of Shri Shiva-pratishthan said, "Films like 'Mohalla Assi' should not be screened by theatres or it will have strong repercussions." Shri. Madhukar Nazare of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, "Funds required for 'Simhastha Parve' at Nashik should be allocated promptly and all pending works should be completed war-footing." Shri. Rajan Bunage and Sou. Anita Bunage of HJS also expressed their views on this occasion.

More than 40 demonstrators including Shri. Raju Yadav, Shiv Sena's Karveer Taluka-Chief, its members Shri. Vikram Chougule, Shri. Sagar Patil, Shri. Vujay Gulawe of Shri. Shiva-pratishthan, Shri.
