Or, if you've been with us for a while, we're thrilled to have you back for another ride. First up in this fabulous new year we have this stunning adventure wedding in Iceland photographed by Photos By Miss Ann with details and planning by Iceland Wedding Planner. Being part Icelandic myself, it always excites me to share gorgeous weddings like this from my ancestral home. Photographer: Photos By Miss Ann // Wedding Planner: Iceland Wedding Planner // Ceremony/Reception/Hotel Venue: Hotel Budir // Makeup Artist: Harpa Finnsdóttir // Hair Stylist: Ólöf Eyjólfsdóttir // Brides Dress: Alfred Sung Bridals // Bridesmaid Dress: Ann Taylor // Grooms Attire: Indochino // Brides Fut Stole: Light In The Box // Brides Hair Piece: Melinda Rose Design // Bride Maids Shoes: Badgley Mischka // Invite: Wedding Chicks Template! // Stationary Design (Timeline Card, Favor Tags, Menu, etc): Iceland Wedding Planner // Champagne Glasses, Robes, Earings: BHLDN // Pastor: Egill Hallgrimsson // Submission via Two Bright Lights From their Iceland Wedding Planner:: Brian and Tiffany planned their Iceland destination wedding for 21 months and really wanted to ensure it was an adventure for all involved. Themselves and their 43 guests mostly came from Regina, Saskatchewan Canada and and all were ready to go on a destination wedding adventure! For them, the wedding weekend was almost as important as the wedding day. The couple had rented the entire hotel for the weekend for their guests. The weekend was kicked off with a "wedding welcome dinner" on Friday night which included a traditional 3 course Icelandic meal followed by a bonfire on the beach that ran into the wee hours of the morning. The morning of the wedding brought strong gale winds. We had originally planned to marry them down by the beach but the wind was knocking down the weighted chairs! We went to "plan b" (Which you always must have in Iceland as the weather is always changing!) which was still outside and facing the same mountains and waterfall, but shielded on one side by the hotel. At 12pm a bus arrived to begin the groups wedding day adventure! The first stop was Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall Kirkjufell Mountain which is just a stunning area that looks like nowhere else in the world. The second stop was a quick stop at one of Iceland's only "Golden" Beaches, called Skardsvik. The third stop was to admire the powerful Snaefellsjokull Volcano/Glacier. Fourth was to see the seaside rock formations of Hellnar. By the end of the tour the guests were ready to relax and catch their second wind! The photographer stole the couple for a few more minutes to take them around for the "golden hour" on the spectacular grounds of Hotel Budir. Everyone had about an hour to rest and recharge before the beautifully detailed reception began. Gorgeous details stood out from the handmade centerpieces, menus, to the peach napkins and candles. The group enjoyed a 5 course Iceland wedding meal and the last moment of the night was shared by the couple in a sweet first dance. |
