മഞ്ഞിൻ മറ നീക്കി മെല്ലെ സൂര്യൻ
ജാലകവാതിലൂടെ എത്തി നോക്കി 
അഴിഞ്ഞുലഞ്ഞ പട്ടു ചേലക്കുള്ളിൽ 
മഞ്ഞിൻ കസവും തുന്നി മെല്ലെ 
പേരാർ കരയെ പുല്കി ഒഴുകി നീങ്ങി 
തളിരിളം കുളിർ കാറ്റുമായി പുലരി 
വന്നെത്തി കുശലം ചൊല്ലിമെല്ലെ 
പക്ഷി വൃന്ദം കാകളി പാടിയാടി 
തെങ്ങോലകൾ പീലിനിവർത്തിയാടി 
മാമല വാഴുന്ന തമ്പുരാനേ ചേലോടെ 
തൊഴുതു വണങ്ങി വാഴ്‌ത്തിടുന്നു 
പൂക്കളും പുഞ്ചിരി തൂകി നിന്ന് 
വന്നു വരവേല്ക്കാൻ സൂര്യതമ്പുരാനെ
മഞ്ഞിൽ നീരാടി കുറി തോട്ടൊരുങ്ങി 
ഭൂമിയും നിന്നു വരവേറ്റിടാനായ് 
എങ്ങും പുലരി തൻ പുഞ്ചരിയും 
കിളി കൊഞ്ചലും തിങ്ങി നിറഞ്ഞ നാട് 
മാമക നാട് ഇതെൻ കേരള നാട്
