Then I leave a list of foods that can be frozen, bearing in mind that the most important thing is that the process involves freeze drying, often bleached and proper packaging.
Baked Goods
You can cook large batches of candy in one day and then freeze them to enjoy in the coming months. This saves a lot of time and when thawed taste like freshly made.
Cookies and Brownies: you have to put in bags or sealable containers with tight lids and can last a long time in the freezer.
Breads, rolls, muffins: double-bag to prevent freezer burn and may be fine for several months.
Cupcakes and Cakes: Yes, you can freeze even complete cupcakes! You can bring them to the meringue (frosting) before freezing or after thawing, but if you use store bought frosting is best to wait to post it after the cake or cupcake thaw.
Granola: if done at home, make a large batch and then freeze .... in jars (mason jars) or ziplock bags.
Cakes: No soil freeze cakes, but if you do, just make sure you freeze them before baking.
Baking Supplies
You can freeze many baking supplies. It is advisable to place them in cartons that allow ventilation.
Chocolate: cooking chocolate to remain in the freezer for much longer and the taste is still "fresh".
Nuts: freezer prevents the oils from becoming rancid nuts.
Flour and sugar: Although not necessary, flour and sugar can be frozen or refrigerated, especially in the summer when the house is warm and moist.
Dairy
If you buy dairy products in large quantities it can freeze.
Butter / Margarine: No trick here, just stick the whole package in the freezer and remove when ready to use.
Cheese block: before freezing, cutting and / or grinding and store in portions for use later, otherwise it will collapse.
Cream Cheese: believe it or not, you can freeze cream cheese. It might be a little "lumpy" after thawed but still has the same taste.
Milk: product is not required to freeze regularly, but you can do when you go on vacation. Just remember to empty about 1 cup of milk before freezing, not to exploit the bottle.
Yogurt: Frozen Yogurt can be delicious and healthy. You just have to let it thaw a bit before eating, and is very creamy.
Fruits
Before freezing fruit, make sure it is washed, dried, and divided into smaller portions. This will make it easy to quickly grab what you need without thawing the whole lot. Fruits can be kept frozen for up to a year if properly sealed.
All Fruits: You can freeze almost any fruit you will then use in smoothies or recipes, because mash again anyway, however, it is not advisable to just eat frozen fruit then get soaked because the thawing. You can keep containers with crushed berries or strawberries for making jam later, dressings, ice cream, etc..
Bananas: When the bananas are well Negritos (which nobody wants), not the boat, banana peel and put 4 in a bag or container in the freezer. Whenever a recipe calls for bananas, simply take a bowl and thaw (most recipes call for 3-5 bananas, so 4 is an ideal figure).
Herbs and Vegetables
In some supermarkets sell herbs and vegetables peeled, cleaned and cut, ready to use and can also be frozen. Obviously they are a bit more expensive than traditional (because they do most of the work), but this can also be done at home.
Herbs: Fresh herbs can be frozen in ice cube trays to use for soups, stews and casseroles. In this link [Reference Sheet for Herbs ] you can download a reference sheet that explains how herbs can be used and keep the different herbs.
All vegetables: In this link [ Table to freeze vegetables ] can find a list of different vegetables and how to freeze, you can download and print for free!
When appropriate, make double batches batches of your favorite recipes to store one in the freezer, and then, on busy days, simply thaw one in the morning, and usually is ready for dinner.
Soups, stews and broths: divide into portions of one or two cups so they can thaw faster.
Pans: You can freeze everything from fajitas to enchiladas and lasagna, and chicken casseroles, and more! Just make sure all ingredients are fully cooked before freezing. When you want to eat, just thaw and bake normally.
Pasta Sauce: In general, the entire batch of pasta sauce is never used in a food, so it is enough to put the leftovers in the freezer for the next time you make pasta. The same applies for stews or beans, can freeze the excess to complement other day with white rice and some meat.
Meat: You can freeze any meat: cooked, raw, chopped, ground, whole, etc.. Just make sure it is properly sealed to prevent frostbite.
What have I left out?
I'm sure there are many other foods that can be frozen, but these are with whom I have personally experienced. I would love to know any other food that can be frozen, so if you know of any other that I've forgotten, please share your suggestions in the comments!
