For the first time in 112 years it is snowing in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt. In a city that averages less than an inch (25.4 mm) of rain in a year, precipitation in any form is quite rare. The entire Middle East region is experiencing record snowfalls, the likes that have not been seen in over fifty years.
