​f it is being used judiciously it will be a blessing for the nation and its people. But the plan is to use these these criminals in the party only and their henchmen will come to the Governmnt, then it will be another tragedy.

This is a good step forward. I wish that people owning business houses also should be barred from entering into politics, as there are chances of misusing the power of the chair for their business interests than for the interests of the country and the common people.

A good development to keep the criminals away from Parliament and Assemblies. Many organisations and jurists were demanding it; but the political parties were not prepared to accept it as all the parties have their share of persons with criminal background in Parliament and Assemblies. The court is fully justified in this decision as on appeal the conviction is only suspended and the accused is not acquitted. Hope persons like Pappu Yadav will never enter Parliament again.

I know that in the organisational elections of Youth Congress and NSUI (KSU in Kerala) even persons who have pending heinous criminal cases are debarred from contesting. Hope one day we will have a Parliament and Assemblies without criminal elements.
