Shiksha Bandhan(Bond Of Education)
is an initiative launched by Government
of Bihar with support of UNICEF to encourage
out-of-school children to come back in to school.
 Students of 50 Government Schools and 10
private schools in Patna made their own creative
Shiksha Rakhis ( Education Bands)
with `School Aao / Come to School message ' and tied
these to the out-of- school children, especially girls
around their school and locality.
The school children tried to find out
the reason of the child's not coming /dropping out
of school and triedto convince them to come to school.
They also explained to outof school children
about benefits of going to school like mid-day
meal, uniform, books, scholarships and bicycle........
