Son comes and see mom very critical. . Dying..
Asks mom what can I do for you...Mom replies....
Please install fans in the old age home ....there are none...
Son, surprised ..questions....
All this while you were here you never complained
Now you have few hours left you are saying .....
W
hy?
Mom says ..... it's ok , I've managed with the heat.....
But when your children will send you here, I am afraid you will not be able to manage ....

Avoid These Actions to Live Regret-Free!   The phrase "if only…" is normally one associated with deep regret, and that's why it's incredibly sad when we feel compelled to say it. To avoid having to utter those fateful words, I've made a list of 10 bad life choices that ultimately lead to this phrase of regret, as well as how to avoid them: 1. Wearing a mask in front of others It's a big mistake to always think about other people's perceptions of you and trying to play up to them, as opposed to just being yourself. If you continuously focus on this, rather than being who you really are, the end result will be that one fine day, you will forget who you are beneath the mask you always try to uphold. Forget about who people want you to be, or how they see you – impress them and inspire them with how you deal with your imperfections instead. 2. Letting others create your dreams Although the greatest life challenge is the sound discovery of who you really are, the second greatest is finding happiness and peace with yourself. You should always stay true to your own goals and dreams to find happiness and peace. If people disagree with you, it isn't necessarily a bad thing – it just means you're standing your own ground and finding you own way. Don't worry about whether people think you're doing something crazy. When you find yourself excitedly losing track of time, you'll know in your heart that you're on the right path. 3. Keeping the company of negative people Negative people are best avoided, because they can foist their bad attitudes on you, and even get to you. Remember that keeping the company of negative people is a choice, not an obligation. Once you realize this and begin to keep it in mind, you will open up your world to compassion over anger, generosity over greed, and patience over anxiety. 4. Falling into selfishness and egotism A life that revolves around selfish pursuits and egotism is not a life well-lived. You will be remembered by what you have done for others and the world at large, rather than what you have done for yourself. Be selfless, compassionate and try and give back whenever and wherever you can. 5. Avoidance of change and growth If you want to know why your life is the way it is, take a look at your past. If you want to know how your future's going to be, take a look at your actions in the present. You should always leave room in your life for the old to make way for the new. As much as we all like to hold on to that which we know, the truth is that the old is gone, and isn't coming back. Accepting this fundamental reality and embracing change as it comes will set you up for lasting success. 6. Giving up during tough times Whenever we fail in life, we should take is as a blessing. This is because failures act as indicators that we need to try something else. What failures do not indicate is the necessity to give up on what we're setting out to achieve. Learn what you can from a failure and move on. One baby step at a time is what will get you ahead in life. Eventually, these baby steps build on top of each other and lead to our most glorious and defining moments. 7. Attempting to micro-manage everything                         There's plenty of truth to the notion of creating your own destiny, however this doesn't mean that you incessantly have to worry about and control everything. Letting go a little will allow you to gain perspective. Once you can see the forest for the trees again, it's time to take the next step forward. Remember that you don't always have to be certain that you're headed somewhere great. Occurrences in life happen in perfect order, regardless of whether you understand that or not. As time goes by in our lives, we all come to understand this principle and see how all the dots are connected. 8. Settling for less than you are deserving of You should always make it a priority in life to let go of what no longer serves you. Sometimes we need to be floored by a bad relationship or other situation, as hitting rock bottom can actually be the springboard we need for us to stand taller than we ever did before. The tears we cry can sometimes clear our eyes so we can see the possibilities that lie in front of us. Remember not to settle for anything less than you deserve.  9. Forever waiting for tomorrow We all know life is short, but it's actually even shorter than you think. If you're forever waiting for tomorrow, the window for you to do all the things you've always wanted to do will silently close, and by the time you realize it has, it will be too late. The choice is yours – do you want to look back on what you've achieved with pride, or do you want to make a whole myriad of excuses for the things you haven't? 10. Not being assertive and waiting for things to happen For whatever reason, you may feel hard done by due to the hand of cards that life has dealt you, but that doesn't mean that you are owed anything – by anyone. Focus on developing a backbone, rather than a wishbone. It's up to you to take responsibility for what transpires in your life. You are equally important to and just as needed as everyone else in this world. Don't sit around waiting for things to happen, because they just won't. Your day is now, it's here. Seize it and go and create the world you want for yourself.

Amateur photographer who only picked up a camera this year beats professionals to win daylight-themed photo competition! What a difference a day makes. As the clocks turn and the days grow longer, these stunning photographs show what we are to expect in the coming months. The finalists in the Lovers of Light competition set out to capture the role that natural daylight plays in our lives, paying tribute to sunshine and warming rays. The competition saw both amateurs and professionals photograph cities waking up, sun kissed beaches and glistening frozen lakes in a bid to do daylight justice. Winning rays: Martin Dawe's photograph called 'Snow Before Melting', taken on a cold January morning, was declared the winner A song of ice and fire: The sky is burning in orange and yellow above the frozen water at the Meervogel windmill in Groningen, The Netherlands Morning has broken: One photographer has captured a park waking up on a cold December day. The winning photograph by amateur Martin Dawe sees a single tree reaching for the warmth of the sun in a winter landscape. 'The aspect of daylight, particularly at sunrise and sunset, is something from which I've drawn inspiration since I started taking photographs,' said winner Martin Dawe. 'My interest in photography only began at the beginning of this year, so it was a huge shock when I found out I won the Lovers of Light competition.' Mr Dawes photograph was picked from nearly 9,000 entries by a panel which included artist Sarah Butterfield, Dr Russel Foster, Oxford University professor and daylight expert, as well as representative from roof window manufacturer VELUX who sponsored the competition. Never ending bliss: A photo entitled 'Endless Summer' was taken on a glorious afternoon at Redhead Beach south of Newcastle Spanish dreams: 'Hazy Golden Hour' captures the sunlight's play on the buildings in the Spanish city of Benidorm Miracles of nature: A rainbow arches across red clouds in Lido di Jesolo, Italy as a lightning bolt divides the sky in the distance The competition was launched in October last year on the last changing of the clocks and saw the thousands of entries whittled down to 101 finalists and one winner. 'The snowy January landscape represents an extraordinary depiction of natural daylight and stood out as the winner,'  Charlotte Chapman, Marketing Manager at VELUX said. 'Our aim with the competition was to encourage people to think differently about daylight and we hope that anyone who views the winning image is inspired to celebrate the beauty and the benefits of this precious natural resource.' Hotel Jested, Czech Republic The Hotel Jested was built by Czech architect Karel Hubacek in a retro and futuristic style between 1966 and 1973. The hotel is visible from miles away due to its huge tower that stands at over 300 feet (91m). The tower was designed to naturally extend and compliment the silhouette of the surrounding mountains. The tower is also a television transmitter that is built to withstand the most extreme of weather. The tower was awarded the Perret Prize by the International Union of Architects for its unique design. Just below the tower is a hotel and restaurant that were also designed in with the theme of the 'space age'. The hotel hosts one of the most breathtaking views in all of the Czech Republic, looking out into parts of Germany and Poland, almost the entirety of what was once Bohemia. 2. Giraffe Manor, Kenya The Giraffe Manor was built by Sir David Duncan in 1932 as a private home surrounded by over 140 acres of its own park and forest. In 1974, Jock Leslie-Melville bought the manor and founded the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. The Melvilles set about making the Manor a refuge for a number of endangered species the Rothschild giraffe. Now travelers from all over the world visitthe Manor to dine with the giraffes and enjoy the Manor's welcoming and warm accommodations. 3. Marques de Riscal, Spain Located in the Vinos de los Herederos del Marques de Riscal vineyard near the medieval village of Elciego, this beautiful hotel is a wine connoisseur's dream. The wine cellars at the bottom of the hotel were designed in 1858 by the architect Ricardo Bellsola. The hotel has 43 luxury rooms, each unique and different in their shapes due to the outlandish structure of the building. Thus, each room offers a different view out into the spectacular vineyards. 4. Inntel Hotel, the Netherlands The Inntel Hotel is newest hotel on this list, located in the Dutch city of Zaandam. The hotel appears to be a number of traditional Dutch green houses put together into one huge structure. The iconic green houses of the Zaan region were the inspiration for the designer of the hotel, Wilfried van Winden. The hotel provides over 160 guest rooms, a bar-restaurant, swimming pool, wellness center and a Turkish bath. 5. Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge, Kenya Yet another of Kenya's beautiful and exciting hotels, the Sarova Saltlick Game Lodge is any wildlife enthusiast's' fantasy. The hotel was ecologically built to fit into the habitat of the wild animals that roam through its premises. The hotel is located in the middle of the Taita Hills Sanctuary, a private wildlife conservatory located about a 6 hour drive away from the capital of Nairobi. The hotel is made up of rooms on silts located right above the animal watering holes. The rooms are connected by walkways that allow the guests to enjoy first row access to the wildlife below. 6. The Marmara Antalya, Turkey Located on the Falez cliffs near the city of Antalya, the Marmara Antalya is the world's only revolving hotel that gives guests a constant 360 degree views. The 24 bedrooms make a full rotation every 2 to 22 hours. Sun Cruise Hotel, South Korea No, this is not a cruise ship that went aground. This hotel on the coastal cliff of Jeongdongjin is a tourist attraction known for having the best sunrise views. The hotel is the world's first on-land cruise themed resort. The hotel is 165m (540 ft.) long and 45m (150 ft.) tall, weighing in at over 30,000 tons! It has 211 rooms and all of the other amenities you might be used to seeing on a cruise ship. It is designed in a contemporary style and looks a steel and glass boat from afar. The hotel was designed by Ruy Ohtake from the inside out. The entire hotel was conceived to surprise and delight guests with specific touches in each one of the 95 rooms. 12. The Ariau Amazon Towers, Brazil The Ariau towers are a boutique hotel near Manaus, Brazil in the Rio Negro, a major tributary of the Amazon River. The hotel has 7 towers and 288 rooms elevated above the rainforest floor and connected by over 5 miles (8km) of catwalks. The tallest of the rooms is called the Tarzan House and is located on top of a living Mahogany tree at a height of 22 meters( (72 ft.) from the ground. The hotel has a number of tours available to its guests, most notably the Meeting of the Waters, or where the Rio Negro and the Solimones Rivers meet. Two shades of water run side by side for over 4 miles (6 km) without mixing, an incredible natural phenomenon. 13. Spitbank Fort Hotel, United Kingdom The Spitbank Fort is a small luxury hotel located in a Victorian-era sea fort off the coast of Portsmouth, England. It is one of the largest in the Solent, or the strait that separates the Isle of Wight from the mainland of England. The fort has nine rooms and three restaurants and bars, along with all of the other top-class amenities. Some of the fort's original features have been retained, such as the brick walls, the fortress windows and a few old cannons. 14. The Balancing Barn Hotel, United Kingdom Ever heard of a hotel that's off-balance? The Balancing Barn Hotel located a few miles inland from the Suffolk coast was designed by the Dutch design firm MVRDV to be one of a kind. The Barn is about 30 meters (98ft.) long with 15 meters of that plunging over the slope of a hill. The building was designed in such a way to maximize the linear experience of nature. Even from its height, the guest experiences his natural surroundings as if he or she were at ground level and then at tree height. 15. Desert Lotus Hotel, Mongolia In the isolated Xiangshawan Desert in Mongolia lies a magnificent hotel surrounded by a circle of white tents. The tents were rotated at 45 degrees and connected together to look a lotus flower. The resort was built without tiles and bricks due to the rugged climate, and instead with 'greener' materials that take advantage of the solar, water and wind energy in the desert. The tents were erected to protect the hotel against the elements. Due to its difficult geographic condition, a new structural system was developed by the builders of the hotel to keep it in place. Instead of using concrete or water, the building is fixed with steel panels with sand at its base. The hotel is very popular amongst Chinese tourists because it is located 800 km (500 miles) from Beijing and even closer to a number of other large Chinese towns. 16. Lake Palace, India Yet another hotel floating on water, the Lake Palace has 83 rooms and suites all decked with marble floors. The hotel is located on a large rock called Jag Niwas Island in Lake Pichola. The hotel has a speed boat that transports guests to and fro. It has many times been voted the most romantic hotel in India and in the world. The hotel was built between 1743 - 1746 under the direction of Maharana Jagat Singh II, the 62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar. It was meant to be a royal summer palace and was originally called Jagniwas or Jan Niwas after its founder. Commercial ownership of the summer palace was assumed in 1971 and another 75 rooms were added to accommodate all of the guests. 17. Magic Mountain Hotel, Chile A hotel shaped a volcano that spews water instead of fire from its top! The hotel is located in the Huilo Huilo Private Nature Reserve and the hotel is completely nestled into its natural surroundings. The entire hotel is covered with moss and plant life, making it look a magical mystical palace in the middle of the forest. The nature reserve is home to some of the world's rarest species, the Pudu, the world's smallest deer and the longest zip line in South America. The hotel itself is built from local wood and stone, and each room is named after a different local species of bird. 18. Hotel Arbez, France/ Switzerland One of the world's only hotels built on the border between two countries, the Hotel Arbez is located in the small town of La Cure along the French- Swiss border. The cozy hotel was built in 19th century alpine style with wooden beams and a country kitchen to serve its guests. The hotel dates back to the 19th century when Monsieur Ponthus look advantage of a border treaty between France and Switzerland to build a structure along the border with the intention of doing business. The structure was erected in no time, and by the time the Swiss had ratified the treaty, Monsieur Ponthus's structure was already up and running, with a bar on the French side and a shop on the Swiss side. Now you know that there is much more to a hotel than a place to rest your head!
