Final journey: Wreck of tragic Costa Concordia

The wreckage of the Costa Concordia cruise liner made its final journey today as it was towed to its last berth, where it will be dismantled.

The vessel, which ran aground in seas near the Tuscan isle of Giglio in 2012, leading to 32 deaths, was pulled 10 miles across a port in Genoa, Italy, so it can be scrapped.

The 144,500-tonne ship was moved by two tugboats this afternoon, 10 months after it first arrived in the harbour to be taken apart.

A total of 32 people were killed when the Costa Concordia hit rocks and listed, trapping people inside, making it Italy's worst maritime disaster since the Second World War.

Francesco Schettino, dubbed 'Captain Coward' after he fled the ship before its 4,200 passengers were safely ashore, was sentenced to 16 years in jail for manslaughter.

The 54-year-old was given ten years for manslaughter, five for causing a shipwreck, one for abandoning ship, and a further month for giving false information to port authorities.

A court heard that Schettino was a 'reckless idiot' who had been showing off to a waiter on board the ship, and a friend on Giglio island, when he steered the ship close to the shore on the night of January 13.

It took months for rescue divers to scour the wreckage of the Costa Concordia for the remains of those who died on board

Other cargo ships passed by as the huge ship was towed across the Italian harbour, more than three years after the disaster

A total of 32 people were killed in the disaster, which left more than 100 people injured as they fled the sinking cruise liner

It took more than two years to re-float the vessel in a costly salvage operation which also saw the death of a rescue diver

Two daredevils with jetpacks soaring above Dubai skyscrapers at 125mph

Swiss pilot Yves Rossy, known as Jetman, and his French colleague Vine Reffett took to skies over Dubai

These stunning pictures show the moment two daredevils with jetpacks soared above the skyscrapers of Dubai - at speeds of up to 125mph.

Former Swiss fighter pilot Yves Rossy, known as the Jetman, and his French protege Vince Reffett were filmed performing heart-stopping manoeuvres in the skies above the dazzling United Arab Emirates city.

The two aviation enthusiasts can be seen zooming over some of the city's most famous landmarks including the giant Burj Khalifa skyscraper - the world's tallest man-made structure.

The pair, who were wearing winged jetpacks, were also filmed flying over the city's Palm Islands at speeds of up to 125mph

December, he was filmed 5,000 feet above the Dubai desert at speeds of up to 120mph in an incredible formation flight with aerobatics champion Veres Zoltán.

Is it a bird? It is not the first time Rossy has taken to the skies with his jet-powered wings to showcase some incredible aerial gymnastics

At the time, a spokesman for Jetman told MailOnline that the video was an appetiser for 'something bigger and louder' in 2015 - but refused to reveal any more than that.

According to his website, he became the first and only man in the history of aviation to fly with a jet-propelled wing in 2006.

Rossy was first a military pilot and then worked as a captain on commercial flights. His website said he 'has always dedicated all his free time to flight and experimented with all its forms', creating a harness with inflatable wing panels that he subsequently developed into a rigid wing with four engines.

He has completed flights over the Swiss Alps - including Lake Geneva in 2002 - and, in 2008, he crossed the English Channel in the flight path of Louis Blériot.
