South India's biggest and most well maintained gaushala

Welcome to Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gau Nivas

Home to Cows rescued from the jaws of death .

The Gaushala is located at Gaganpahad (Behind Citizen Weigh Bridge), on the way to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad – 501323.

Employing about 200 workers, about 25 tonnes of Kutti and 70 tonnes of green grass a day is fed to the animals sheltered at the SSS Gau Nivas. The monthly fodder bill along runs into few lakhs, which is being contributed by philanthropists. To take care of these 4300 animals' health, few veterinary doctors and a hospital is housed at the cow shelter.
No cow is milked, nor any business is done with their milk. The total milk is left to the babies of the cow, thus maintaining ZERO infant mortality rates.

[www.keralites.net] 20 Epic Watermelons

20 Epic Watermelons

Monday, June 9, 2014

Clive Cooper is not your average sculptor. Instead of creating objects with stone or wood, he carves faces into watermelons.

His pieces wont last forever, but it doesn't make the work any less amazing.

I thought it might be interesting to try sculpting my watermelons in a more "pumpkin-oriented" style.
