Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple is so well constructed that on Equinox sun passes exactly through the middle of Gopuram passing through all the doors. An engineering marvel indeed !!

An Equinox is an astronomical event that happens twice, once in spring and once in autumn, each year when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun. During Equinoxes the tilt of the Earth (with respect to the Sun) is 0° and because of it duration of the day and the night are almost equal on Equinox day i.e. 12 hours.

Equinoxes occur on 20th or 21st March and 22nd or 23rd September each year and both days has equal length of the day and the night.

WHERE IS GOD?

A couple had two little boys ages 8 and 10, who were EXTREMLY mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons would get the blame.

The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, and asked to see them individually.

So, the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly,

"Where is God?"

They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open.

The clergyman repeated the question. "Where is God?"

Again, the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice some more and

shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed.

"Where is God!?"

The boy screamed and bolted from the room. He ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied,

"We are in big trouble this time! God is missing and they think we did it!"

[www.keralites.net] Struggle is Necessary

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force it's body through that little hole.

Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther. So the man decided to help the butterfly, he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved it's freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. And we could never fly.

The prayer should be that we remember the purpose of the struggle, and NOT toa be relieved of it.

Narendra Modi did not resign. He could not be even asked by BJP . Ok. he took responsiility afterwards were there no accidents took place.

Let us be practical.Find the cause and punish the people. Because we just appoint enquiry committes and afterwards no action is taken so people take it for granted.

There is no fear at all. Govt people take bribes with impunty. Nothing happens to Municipality people when buildings crash. Even Judicial enquiry results are

consigned to dust in. Only fear of punishment will make our politicians and people straight. Until such time no Todi or Modi can do anything.

Mr. Ram, you are absolutely RIGHT. If you or your party has MONEY & MEDIA with you you can very well create Heroes & Villains. When Sri LB Sastri resigned after the train accident he was declared as a HERO but when Sri Narendra Modi resigned after Godhra Riot, instead of becoming a Hero he became a ZERO & was declared a HINDU TERRORIST. What a tragedy? Here after NOBODY will take any responsibility or utter a word for anything, like our PM, Manmohan Singh, in future.

Definitely Lal Bahadur Shastry is inches above Gandhiji in Greatness.I Independent India, with the wrongest person with perceivable bias towards british investments in faith with greed for international publicity and popularity, it was Shastriji who brought about the most required self confidence and esteem through his rejuvenating policy of the Indian Jawan and Kisan. He, not being a british trained always gor the lesser amount of respect.Gandhiji , who, along with lots of good convictions was also crazy of popularity. f he had not dowsed the risinf Indian spirit after the Chowro Chowra and Jalian wala cruelties for publicity and accliam for his Ahimsa theory, Indian spirit would have driven away the aliens by the thirties ie before the conspiracy of th British, Jinnah and of course the equalyy power crazy rich barrister's son.India wuld have been different ; may be not a corrupt and hence communal papmering nation , like now.Lal Bahadur definitely was greater
