[www.keralites.net] Shiv Khori (Shiva Temple ) in Jammu - Second most visited temple after Mata Vaishno devi

This holy cave is nearly a kilometre long and houses a 4 ft high, naturally formed 'Shivling'. It is considered second only to the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in religious importance. There are stalactites and stalagmites dripping milky limestone water.

To the left of Shivling Mata Parwati is symbolized by impression of Her Holy feet. Kartikeya is also seen in left of Shivlingam. At nearly 2.5 feet above, five headed Ganesha is can be seen. The Holy cave has a number of other natural images which are believed to be that of 33 crores Hindu Deities.

The cave roof is etched with snake like formations, the water trickles through these in the cave. 'Three pronged lance' depicting the Trident (Trishul) of Lord Shiva and 'Six Mouthed Sheshnaga' are also seen on the roof of the cave. The main portion of cave roof has round cutting mark signifying construction of cave by Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu.

The Shiv Khori Shrine, purely dedicated to the Lord Shiva, is situated on a hillock in Ransoo village of Tehsil Reasi of the Udhampur District in Jammu region of the Jammu & Kashmir state. Buses and light vehicles go upto village Ransoo, surrounded by lush green mountains. Pilgrims have to traverse about 3 kms track from Ransoo by foot which is being constructed by the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Development Board. Dear Major Sekhar do you have any personal experience on this drink or is it a myth. If you or any of your friends had experience then it is ok or else you are taking the public for a ride. For your kind information I am a heart patient, having an attack in 2008 June and was discharged from the hospital after 10 days treatment saying that I am Ok. Meantime through this media I happened to see the merits of this drink. It is so simple and I started taking this drink for about 15 to 20 months till the end of 2011. To my surprise in the month of Oct 2011 I had an attack and undergone surgery. I had 3 blocks and all got removed. Absolutely there was NO effect on that drink. Even after the surgery I had attack in April 2012 and again undergone surgery and got a stent inserted. Again after 2 months I had one more attack even after putting stent. What a tragedy. As far as I am concerned this drink, you are propagating never had any good effect on me.

The old Master instructed the
unhappy young man to put
a handful of salt in a glass of
water and then to drink it.
"How does it taste?"
the Master asked.
"Not good at all,"
spat the apprentice.

The Master chuckled and
then asked the young man
to take another handful of salt
and put it in the lake.
The two walked in silence to
the nearby lake and when the
apprentice swirled his handful
of salt into the lake,
the old man said,
"Now drink from the lake."

As the water dripped down
the young man's chin, the Master
asked, "How does it taste?"
"Good!" remarked the apprentice.
"Do you taste the salt?" asked the
Master. "No," said the young man.

The Master sat beside
this troubled young man,
took his hands, and said,
"The pain of life is pure salt;
no more, no less. The amount of
pain in life remains the same,
exactly the same.
But the amount we taste
the 'pain' depends on
the container we put it into.
So when you are in pain,
the only thing you can do is to
enlarge your sense of things...
Stop being a glass.
Become a lake!"
