Re: [www.keralites.net] സംസ്കാരത്തെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുമ്പോള്‍.......

DEAR FRIENDS

I  AM NOT READY TO SUPPORT THE MINISTER . BUT WHY ONLY THE NILAVILAKKU HERE ?WHY ONLY  BREAKING COCONUT HERE ? BEING A MINISTER  WHY HE CAN NOT KEEP HIS ISLAMIC FAITH ? SO WE HAVE TO REMOVE ALL RELIGIOUS CULTURE FROM GOVERMENTAL INAGURATION .I FEEL THAT IS BETTER .

ON OTHER SIDE ONE CAN SEE THERE ARE LOT OF MASJID WITH NILAVILAKKU . THEY ARE LIGHTING WITH OIL AND THAT OIL IS DISTRIBUTED .I HAVE SEEN IT IN BEEMA PALLY ?  HE MAY BE BELIVING IT IS NOT A PART OF ISLAMIC FAITH.  SO YOU CAN NOT COMPEL TO DO THAT

THE BIG MISTAKE IS THAT HE DID NOT PRE INFORM THE CO ORDINATOR THAT HE WILL NOT LIGHT UP THE LAMP . IT IS FOR ALL MINISTERS THEY SHOULD  INFORM THIS MATTER TO THE CONCERNED PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE READY TO ACCEPT AN INVITATION .

BE HAPPY AND LET OTHER BE HAPPY -- DO NOT AVOID OR COMPEL-- YOUR FAITHON OTHERS , LET ALL THE FAITH CO-EXIST . IF YOU WISH THEN PLEASE ACCEPT OTHER FAITH .

THANK YOU

This is not correct
whole world for all the human beings they are having some sort of society.
In India also, there are societies of religion caste, creed, region, sector and all other sorts.
But a lamp is only a Lamp which are lit only to produce a light in darkness,
and is in no way connected with any of the mythologies of any religions or castes.
Lighting a lamp will never underestimate one's belief towards their religion.
As that is the fact, if one refuses to light a lamp in a public function,
that is an action which should be highly criticised.

[www.keralites.net] you must be laugh.....

A Policeman was patrolling late at night off the main road.
At nearly midnight, he sees a couple in a car, in lovers lane, with the interior light brightly glowing.
He carefully approaches the car to get a closer look. Then he sees a young man behind the wheel, reading a computer magazine.
He immediately notices a young woman in the rear seat, filing her fingernails.
Puzzled by this surprising situation, the constable walks round the car and gently raps on the driver's window.
The young man lowers his window. 'Uh, yes'?
The cop asks: 'What are you doing'?
The young man says: 'Well, constable, I'm reading a magazine'.
Pointing towards the young woman in the back seat the policeman says: ' And her, what is she doing'?
The young man shrugs: 'Sir, I believe she's filing her fingernails'.
Now, the policeman is totally confused.
A young couple, alone, in a car, at night in a lover's lane ... And nothing obscene is happening!
The constable asks: 'What's your age, young man'?
The young man says: 'I'm 19, sir'.

The constable asks: ' And her, ..... what's her age'
The young man looks at his watch and replies: 'She'll be 18 in 11 minutes.

[www.keralites.net] Meet the oldest Sisters in the world

A pair of centenarians have officially been crowned the oldest sisters
in the world after notching up an astonishing 213 years between them.

Cheers! Oldest sisters in the world celebrate their world record

Two British women in their 100s have been named the oldest sisters in the world,
after one celebrated a record breaking birthdays. Marjorie Ruddle, who recently
turned 105, and Dorothy Richards, 108, were awarded Guinness Book of World Records
certificates at a special party to held to celebrate the landmark.

The sisters, who grew up together in Northamptonshire, were keen tennis players
and used to holiday together, but had not seen each other for two-and-a-half years
because they became too frail to travel.

But last week the elder of the pair, Dorrie managed to make the trip from Stamford, Lincs.,
to surprise Marjorie at the Park House nursing home in Peterborough, Cambs.,
and the sisters were reunited for a knees up.

"How do I feel?" Marjorie responded to questions. "Rather embarrassed.
I haven't seen her for ages so it is very nice to see her again."

Marjorie's daughter Pat Comber, from Rutland, said: "My mother's
certificate will be put up in pride of place in her room.

"It is a remarkable achievement and my family and I are very proud of them.

"Both Marjorie and Dorothy are very active and on the ball for their ages.
They certainly know what's going on.

"I'm not sure if they have secrets for living for so long but just that
they've tried to stay fit and active."

Pat explained that it was her family's idea to find out if her mum
and aunt were record breakers.

"We've always wondered whether Dorrie and Marjorie were the oldest sisters around and last year
decided to find out," she explained. "We contacted the Guinness World Records and it took them
several weeks to do their research and confirm it.

"To be honest I would have been surprised to find any siblings older than them
and I think it may be a long time before their record is broken."

The two girls grew up in Northampton with their sister Hilda, who died aged 40 from MS,
and two brothers Bernard and Ross, who died aged just 49.

On the day of the record break, the aggregate age of the sisters was 213 years, three months, and 27 days.

Marjorie, who was born in Northampton back in 1907, has three children,
four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. After moving to Peterborough
in the 1930s, she worked in the surgery of her husband Dr James Robertson Wills.

Mr Wills died from an illness in 1949 and a year later Marjorie married architect Alan Ruddle.

Marjorie says she has never smoked a cigarette and enjoyed a number of hobbies
including playing bridge, gardening, tennis and embroidery.

Sue Corrans, a senior carer at the Park House nursing home, added, "Marjorie is so on the ball.

"She likes having a bit of banter with the nurses and keeping them on their toes at all times."

Dorrie was born on December 15, 1903, just two days before the Wright Brothers made man's first powered flight.

On October 29, 1927, Dorrie married Stanley Richards. They moved to Stamford in April, 1941,
with their two young sons Graham and Philip, and their third son Martin was born in the town in 1943.

Stanley took over an opticians business in St Mary's Street, Stamford,
where he remained until his death at the age of 58 in 1961.

Dorrie ran a pottery shop in St Mary's Hill until she retired and now
she is cared for at Whitefriars nursing home in Stamford, Lincs.

Dorrie's son Philip, who lives in Stamford, Lincs., said, "Auntie Marjorie didn't know that
Mother was coming today. The look on their faces was amazing.

"They struggled across the room and gave each other a big hug and we were all in tears."

A spokesperson from Guinness World Records confirmed the sisters had the
"highest combined age of two living siblings".

[www.keralites.net] 10 New Uses for Vinegar

10 New Uses for Vinegar

Fun & Info @ Keralites.net

"Vinegar is a strong preservative because its acetic acid kills the microbes and bacteria that could cause food to spoil," says Michael Doyle, director of the Center for Food Safety at the University of Georgia, in Griffin. "It's also a good deodorizer―the acid neutralizes basic compounds, such as those found in degrading meat, that can be volatile and unpleasant."

Use White Vinegar to:

1. Pinch-hit for lemon in a savory recipe. Use 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar in place of 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
2. Remove coffee or tea stains from the bottom of a cup. Swish 2 tablespoons of vinegar around in the cup, then wash as usual.
3. Treat oily hair. Vinegar is a good degreaser for oily hair because it helps adjust pH levels. Shampoo your hair as usual, rinse, then pour 1/4 cup over it and rinse again.
4. Wipe salt stains off boots. Dip a cloth or an old T-shirt into vinegar, then wipe away the white residue.
5. Make wool sweaters fluffier. Drop in a couple of capfuls of vinegar during the rinse cycle for an extra-soft feel.
6. Deodorize a garbage disposal. Make vinegar ice cubes and feed them down the disposal. After grinding, run cold water through the drain.
7. Clean a teakettle or a coffeemaker. Boil a mixture of water and vinegar in a teakettle, then wipe away the grime. Fill the reservoir of a coffeemaker with a mixture of vinegar and water and run it through a brewing cycle. Follow this with several cycles of water to rinse thoroughly.
8. Clean a dishwasher. Once a month, with the machine empty, run a cup of vinegar through an entire cycle to reduce soap buildup on the inner mechanisms and glassware.
9. Remove stubborn price tags or stickers. Paint them with several coats of vinegar, let the liquid soak in for five minutes, then wipe away the residue.
10. Kill weeds between cracks in paving stones and sidewalks. Fill a spray bottle with straight vinegar and spray multiple times. (Be careful not to get any on the surrounding grass, as it will kill that too.)

[www.keralites.net] AMAZING MONKEY ORCHID

The Amazing Monkey Orchid

Nature doesn't need an audience. These wonderful orchids come from the south-eastern Ecuadorian and Peruvian cloud forests from elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters and as such not many people throughout history got to see them. However, thanks to intrepid collectors we do get to see this wonderful Monkey Orchid. Someone didn't need much imagination to name it though, let's face it.

Its scientific name is Dracula simia, the last part nodding towards the fact that this remarkable orchid bears more than a passing resemblance to a monkey's face  although we won't go as far as to be species specific on this one. The Dracula (genus) part of its name refers to the strange characteristic of the two long spurs of the sepals, reminiscent of the fangs of a certain Transylvanian count of film and fiction fame.

The orchid was only named in 1978 by the botanist Luer but is in a family containing over 120 species mostly found in Ecuador.  Up in the cloud mountains the monkey orchid can flower at any time  it is not season specific. It scent resembles that of a ripe orange.

The examples seen here are all cultivated   though it remains very rare in 'captivity'. For that reason don't make a dash down to your local horticulturalist. Yet for those lucky enough to have one, if kept quite cool and in partial shade and it can thrive and flower. Like all orchids, however, it needs a lot of care and patience   so you may want to consider a cactus instead!

If you don't quite see why this orchid gets its name, then do one thing.  Move back from your screen a few feet and take another look. Close up the similarity is good, from a distance it is astounding.
