Steps to Take  with Your Kids1. Recognize your child's individuality.  Acknowledge that each child is a unique being. It will help protect you from  assuming they're an extension of you.
2. Listen to your children.  Pay attention to  the aspirations of your children. Their words and actions  reveal their interests.
3. Encourage exploration.  Childhood is a time of discovery. Share their excitement about drama club or a  soccer game. Visit the library together and plan memorable vacations. Buy a  family membership at your local art or natural history museum.
4. Apply pressure wisely.  Excessive force can push people in the opposite direction. If your son falls  behind in Algebra, talk with the teacher rather than imposing unreasonable  study hours.
5. Provide positive attention.  Sometimes we admire our kids for rebelling a little. Even when their pranks are  amusing, reinforce values about being responsible and considerate. Create a healthy balance between  discipline and praise.
6. Send clear signals.  We may also feel some sadness or resentment if someone else gets something we  wanted for ourselves. Maybe you looked forward to becoming a doctor, but  couldn't afford the tuition. Now it's your child who graduates from medical  school. Celebrate their achievements. Congratulate yourself for giving them  greater opportunities.
7. Watch for signs of burnout.  Spending more time with friends may leave them refreshed and rejuvenated.  Alternating between different sports can prevent boredom and overuse injuries.
8. Be supportive. Be encouraging even when your kids  decline to follow in your footsteps. Each individual has  their own preferences. Demonstrate your enthusiasm by providing the resources  they need to cultivate whatever hobbies they choose. Share their struggles and  commend them on their efforts.
Focus on your  own development and give your children enough room to pursue their own dreams.  You'll all be rewarded with closer family connections and more fulfilling  lives.

Once a week, this guy offers free haircuts to    homeless people. 

Some surfers help a baby whale after it got lost. 

A young boar got stuck in a fence, and the whole    family turned up to see him set free. 

A man gets help learning to put on his tie. 

Someone worked out how to feed several puppies at    the same time. 

Two men save a drowning lamb. 

People band together to push against a train to    help a woman who got stuck between the platform and the train. 

These guys took the time to give a drink to a    dehydrated koala. 

And finally: just a child hugging his best friend.

Why  you shouldn't use olive oil for massaging your baby: Parents are putting their  children at risk of skin complaints such as eczema :- Childhood eczema now affects nearly one in  three children 

They warned that many other baby  skincare products in shops had only passed cosmetic tests and there was no  clinical evidence proving they were safe.

Baby  massage has become hugely popular among parents who find that gently stroking  their child is soothing and helps them bond. It has also been said to help  stimulate babies' brains and improve their digestion.

Childhood eczema now affects nearly one in  three children, compared to just one in 20 in the 1940s, with experts blaming the rise in  environmental factors including parents' desire to use products on their  children.

She added: 'To avoid harm to babies,  until further research is available, those two topical oils – olive oil and sunflower oil – should  not be recommended for treatment of dry skin or for baby massage.'

Satya  Gnananda Roopa

She  who is personification of truth, knowledge and happiness.
  
Satya  is truth, jñāna is knowledge and ānanda is bliss. She is the combination of  truth, knowledge and bliss.
  
Taittirīya  Upaniṣad says, satyaṃ jñānaṃ ananthaṃ brahma. This  refers to the Brahman. Truth, knowledge and infinity is the Brahman. Attributes  of the Brahman is being described by the Upaniṣad. There is a difference between the  saying of this Upaniṣad and this  nāma. Upaniṣad says ananthaṃ (everything or  infinity) and the nāma says ānanda (bliss). The compassionate form of the  Divine Mother makes this difference. Bliss is one of the important qualities of  Lalitāmbikā. When we reach the stage of ānanda (bliss), we tend to forget  ananthaṃ (all other  extraneous matters).
  
Bṛhadāraṇayaka Upaniṣad says that  knowledge, bliss and Brahman are the same. Chāndogya Upaniṣad says "that  which is infinite that is happiness."
  
This  nāma says the nature of the nirguṇa Brahman. While the previous nāma  discussed about the saguṇa Brahman, this  nāma confirms Her as nirguṇa  Brahman once again

In 1923,  nine of the wealthiest people in the world met at Chicago's Edge Water Beach  Hotel.
Their  combined wealth, it is estimated, exceeded the wealth of the Government of the  United States at that time. These men certainly knew how to make a living and  accumulate wealth. Attending the meeting were the following men:
1. The  president of the largest steel company,
2. The  president of the largest utility company,
3. The  president of the largest gas company,
4. The  president of the New York Stock Exchange,
5. The  president of the Bank of International Settlements,
6. The  greatest wheat speculator,
7. The  greatest bear on Wall Street,
8. The head  of the World's greatest monopoly &
9. A member  of President Harding's cabinet.
That's a  pretty impressive line-up of people by anyone's yardstick.
Yet, 25  years later, where were those nine industrial giants?
Let's examine what happened to them 25 years later. 
  1. The President of the then largest steel company (Bethlehem Steel Corp), Charles  M Schwab, lived on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt.
2. The  President of the then largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.
3. One of  the greatest commodity traders (Wheat Speculator), Arthur Cutten, died  insolvent.
4. The then  President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was sent to jail.
5. The  member of the US President's Cabinet (the member of President Harding's  cabinet), Albert Fall, was pardoned from jail just to be able to go home and  die in peace.
6. The  greatest "bear" on Wall Street, Jesse Livermore committed suicide.
7. The  President of the then world's greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger, committed  suicide.
8. The  President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon Fraser, committed  Suicide.
9. The  president of the largest utility company, Samuel Insull, died penniless.
What they  forgot was how to "make" life while they got busy making money!
Money in  itself is not evil; it provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick,  clothes for the needy. Money is only a medium of exchange.
We need two kinds of education:
a) One that  teaches us how to make a living,
and
b) One that  teaches us how to live.
There are  many of us who are so engrossed in our professional life that we neglect our  family, health and social responsibilities.
If asked why  we do this, we would reply that "We are doing it for our family".
Yet, our  kids are sleeping when we leave home. They are sleeping when we come back  home!! Twenty years later, we'll turn back, and they'll all be gone, to pursue  their own dreams and their own lives.
Without  water, a ship cannot move. The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the  ship, the ship will face existential problems. What was once a means of living  for the ship will now become a means of destruction.
Similarly we  live in a time where earning is a necessity but let not the earning enter our  hearts, for what was once a means of living will surely become a means of  destruction for us as well.
So take a  moment and ask yourself, "Has the water entered my ship?"
  I hope not!
Hope the  above story will drive all of us in a better direction in life.

Subject:  Greatness  of Dharbham / Dharbai
  
 The practices widely used by Indian  Brahmins all over using a Holy Grass named Dharbham or Dharbai,  in all  functions, auspicious or inauspicious, a performing person needs to wear a ring  made of this Dharbham/ Pavithram. But many have lost the reason of why it is to  be used in the first place. 

  A Doctor named Sadhashiv Rao, took out a bunch of the Dharbham went straight to  the clinic to take an x-ray of his palm,by covering his hand with the Dharbham.  To his utter surprise,he found that the grass absorbed about 60% of the  radiation! When the so powerful X-ray radiation can be absorbed by the Holy  Grass, why can it not absorb the ill radiations spread over the atmosphere?
  
  During the Eclipse time,these Dharbham are used to cover all  food items to protect them from the harmful ultra violet radiation.

  Whenever any function is held,firstly they perform  a site-cleansing act known as "Sudhhi Punyaahavachanam".
  While reciting the selective versus,they hold the Dharbham bunch in their hand  and placing the tip point of it over the vessel containing water.
  Thus the recited vibration values are absorbed by water in the vessel through  the Dharbham.
 
  They found that the Holy Grass known as Dharbham  has the highest value in conducting the phonetic vibrations through its tip.

  Later, they sprinkle the Holy water at every nook and  corner of the place,where the function is held.
  A Dharbham without the tip is considered of no value, as theconductor-type  value is lost in it.
  
  With Sanskrit phonetic sound and vibration,using  the Dharbham increases its value.
  
  It is really a marvel, that in those days of Vedic Era,the Sages & Saints  of Hindu land used to control the Magnetic path disturbances,just by simply  using this Dharbham!
  
  Dharbam only grows naturally at selective places and available almost in every  state in India.
  
  If it is kept for a longer time, say for more than six  months,then it loses it value and the power of absorbing the radiation or  magnetic path control values.
  
  Dharbham cannot just be plucked straight or cut on any day; There is a specific  Slokha that is to be recited before cutting it.
  That too it can be cut only on the day next to Full Moon - known as Krishna  Paksha Pradamai.

  A Dharbham without its tip portion is not to be used for making a Ring like  item known as "Pavithram".
