According To Psychiatrists, Couples Who Argue Actually Love Each Other More

You may be thinking to yourself how can arguing possibly be an essential element to a successful relationship? Well, according to psychiatrist, Dr. Gail Saltz, describes that arguing can be a very rewarding experience between two people as they express their different points of view, their feelings, and their individualism.

Sure, we all go through the honeymoon phase of our relationships and once that part begins to fade away we suddenly start to understand how the other one tries to compromise, introduce improvements to the relationship, and we learn a lot from what the other has to say.

Dr. Saltz also mentions that in order to have constructive arguments in your relationship you must first master these five aspects before you go into any kind of fight with your partner:

Don't say anything that you're going to immediately regret, make sure that you stick to the topic that is being discussed, be sure that you are listening to the others words carefully, speak honestly once you feel anger boiling inside you, and you don't always have to be right because it's more than okay to admit when you are wrong.

It's important to recognize when you are your partner are no longer having constructive arguments with each other: If both of you end up leaving the conversation angrier than you were before you entered into it then this means that you both should work on managing your tempers.

You must be willing to see the other person's point of view, how they feel, what they expect, and what they want to do in order to achieve happiness again. It's also important to realize when either one of you is too angry to even communicate.

You both must be extremely level headed before going into a fight with each other, otherwise you'll see very quickly just how self-destructive that kind of demeanor can be.

It's more than okay to be upset, however, yelling, vulgar language, and anything else that may hurt your partner mentally or physically is going to have dire consequences the minute you unleash your rage upon them.

Try to remember why you both are even having to argue in the first place, try to realize that this is a problem that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later, and do your best to see their side of the argument.

What it all really boils down to is the both of you being able to communicate, find compromises, still be in love with each other, and being as honest as you possibly can.

Arguing gets you nowhere if neither of you are willing to learn from each other. Dr. Pam Spurr who is a relationship expert explains that couples who argue are extremely passionate for one another because:

"The way in which you argue signals so much about a relationship. The wise couple acknowledges this and keeps an eye on how they treat each other over disagreements. Subconsciously, bickering demonstrates you care about each other even if while bickering you feel annoyed towards your partner. For instance, it shows that you do want your partner to drink less and look after their health. Or you do want them to be on time so that neither of you are stressed out when you have places to be and things to do, etc."

Hopefully this has given you a little bit of insight on how to have a constructive argument with your partner. Remember to be as open as you possibly can be, listen carefully, and be willing to find compromises. Love isn't perfect but you both can at least try to understand each other on how you both can make it work out.

The festival of Krishna Janamastami is the celebration of Lord Krishna's birthday.Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is a unique character in Hindu mythology.

The birthday of Krishna falls on the Astami of Krishna Paksh (the eighth day of the dark fortnight) in the month of shravana (August-September).

Significance:-

There is a tradition among the hindus, that whenever the wicked annoy and persecute the righteous, god undertakes an incarnation, not only to protect them, but also to save the world from destruction, due to their evil deeds.Krishna the incarnation of lord vishnu was born with this purpose.

The Story of Krishna Birth...

Mother Earth, unable to bear the burden of sins committed by evil kings and rulers,appealed to Brahma, the Creator for help. Brahma prayed to the Supreme Lord Vishnu,who assured him that he would soon be born on earth to annihilate tyrannical forces.

One such evil force was Kamsa, the ruler of Mathura (in northern India, now in Uttar Pradesh state) and his people were utterly terrified of him. On the day Kamsa's sisterDevaki was married off to Vasudeva, an akashvani or voice from the sky was heard prophesying that Devaki's 8th son would be the destroyer of Kamsa. The frightened Kamsa immediately unsheathed his sword to kill his sister but Vasudeva intervened and implored Kamsa to spare his bride, and promised to hand over every new born child to him. Kamsa relented but imprisoned both Devaki and her husband Vasudeva.

When Devaki gave birth to her first child, Kamsa came to the prison cell and slaughtered the newborn. In this way, he killed the first six sons of Devaki. Even before her 8th child was born, Devaki and Vasudeva started lamenting its fate and theirs. Then suddenly Lord Vishnu appeared before them and said he himself was coming to rescue them and the people of Mathura. He asked Vasudeva to carry him to the house of his friend, the cowherd chief Nanda in Gokula right after his birth, where Nanda's wife Yashoda had given birth to a daughter. He was to exchange his boy and bring Yashoda's baby daughter back to the prison. Vishnu assured them that "nothing shall bar your path".

At midnight on ashtami, the divine baby was born in Kamsa's prison. Remembering the divine instructions, Vasudeva clasped the child to his bosom and started for Gokula, but found that his legs were in chains. He jerked his legs and was unfettered! The massiveiron-barred doors unlocked and opened up.

While crossing river Yamuna, Vasudeva held his baby high over his head. The rain fell in torrents and the river was in spate. But the water made way for Vasudeva and miraculously a five-mouthed snake followed him from behind and provided shelter over the baby.

When Vasudeva reached Gokula, he found the door of Nanda's house open. He exchanged the babies and hurried back to the prison of Kamsa with the baby girl. Early in the morning, all the people at Gokula rejoiced the birth of Nanda's beautiful male child. Vasudeva came back to Mathura and as he entered, the doors of the prison closed themselves.

When Kamsa came to know about the birth, he rushed inside the prison and tried to kill the baby. The seventh child was "Yoga-Maya" who slipped out of the hands of kamsa, warned him of his death.

Lord Sri Krishna said in the Gita: "To protect the righteous, to destroy the sinful and to reinstate morals, I am born again and again in every age"; now, you get a special meaning. In every age, the Lord takes birth on this earth to destroy evil and protect dharma.

If Sri krishna(The lord) has to be discovered in our heart, the mind(Devaki) and Intellect(Vasudev) must integrate.Six impurities----desire, anger, greed, delusion, intoxication&jealousy must be given up.One must rise above the spiritual powers(Yoga-maya).Finally the lord is born and he kills the EGO(Kamsa).

5 Things You Need to Know about Nobel Prize Winner Kailash Satyarthi

He is best known for receiving a Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. But did you know that Kailash Satyarthi has been fighting to protect and ensure children's' rights for three decades now? Here are 5 things that you need to know about this change-maker.

For three decades, one man has been working to protect children from exploitation. He has led several movements, peaceful protests, and campaigns to protect and advance child rights in India.

And not many people were aware of his incredible work and achievements till he won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2014.

We are talking, of course, about Kailash Satyarthi, the man on a mission. He kickstarted his efforts in the field when he founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (lit. Save the Childhood Movement) in 1980. Since then, his work and efforts have only become bigger and better. Till date, he has saved thousands of children from exploitation.

Here are the five things you need know about him:

1. He has freed over 83,000 children from slavery and child labour.

He was just 26 when he gave up his career as an electrical engineer to work for children. Kailash founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan and has consistently worked hard to protect the rights of thousands of children – till date, his work has freed over 83,000 from 144 countries!

2. His ideals are reflected even his name.

Kailash was born Kailash Sharma. But even as a teenager, his ideals were guiding him in the direction of equality and social justice. When he was 15 years old, he gave up his surname following an incident that left a deep impact on him. He, along with friends, had organised a dinner for "high caste" political leaders. And the food for the dinner was prepared by "low caste" people. When they go to know the identity of the cooks, the politicians did not turn up for dinner and even boycotted Kailash and his friends' families for organising it. He was deeply affected by the injustice inherent in this deeply-flawed caste system; he decided to drop his surname and adopt "Satyarthi" instead — which translates to "Seeker of Truth".

3. He started young.

Kailash was 11-years-old when he, along with his friends, collected used books from his neighbourhood in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh and distributed them to children who needed them.

4. He founded GoodWeave.

In 1994, Kailash started an initiative called "Rugmark" (now known as GoodWeave International). The aim of the initiative is to create a carpet industry that does not make use of child labour. Rugs sold under the GoodWeave label are certified child-labor-free.

5. He started the Global March movement.

This movement has sent a powerful international message against child labour. Started in 1998, it began with an 80,000 km long physical march across 103 countries. Members from over 140 different countries participated in the march. The impact of the movement has been so profound that today, 177 of 185 member countries of the International Labour Organisation have ratified a convention against child labour.

In addition to these stellar achievements, Kailash has several awards recognising his work. One of these is the Harvard "Humanitarian of the Year" Award, which he received in 2015. This makes him the first Indian to receive this honour.
