live life acidity-free with these simple steps...

If you have been suffering from acidity, some changes in your
lifestyle can definitely ease your discomfort. However, chronic
acidity needs diagnosis and prompt treatment.
1# Stress is a villain in our lives that lead to a variety of
health concerns. Acidity is just one among them. Practising
meditation or yoga is a great stress buster.
2# Eating and drinking according to your body constitution is very
important. If you are acidic avoid alcohol, tobacco, smoking,
coffee, tea, soft drinks, sodas, sweets, processed foods, citrus
fruits, spicy masalas and fatty foods. At the same time, do not
over eat or go about with an empty stomach.
3# Eat at a regular time. Time your meal without long gaps in
between and follow the same time table everyday. Taking small meals
at regular intervals of (2-3 hours) is ideal. Also, relax when you
are eating!
4# Don't slouch while eating or drinking. Maintain a straight back
and proper body posture always.
5# Never lie down immediately after eating. It is better to walk
slowly for a few minutes after the meal. Avoid afternoon naps as
you tend to sleep immediately after lunch and will remain awake
late night as you have slept earlier in the day. Eat your dinner at
least two hours before bed time and elevate the head of the bed for
relief.
6# If you are overweight, the excessive fat in the abdominal cavity
increases the pressure inside it causing the food contents inside
the stomach to flow back to the oesophagus (reflux). So get active
and lose weight. A sedentary lifestyle can cause havoc in your
life.
7# Wear loose clothes. Avoid tight belts.
8# Avoid late night browsing or movies. Go to bed early and wake up
early.
Water intake, if insufficient can aggravate acidity and stomach
problems. Hence, it is important to take at least 3 litres of water
a day. Coconut water, carrot juice, cumin water, fibrous foods,
mint, fresh fruits like water melon, cucumber, banana are good to
be taken regularly. Using black pepper instead of chillies, ginger
in moderation, taking liquorice and amla are healthy if you have
acidity.

Nice Vasantha Ragam ! A raga that is suitable for singing in the evenings, a raga that ushers in the festive spirit and one that dispels fear and instills hope – it's the raga Vasantha. "Vasantha" means springtime, and this raga has been suitably named since all that is associated with it is hope and positivity.
A vakra raga, the scale assumes colourful zig-zag patterns and has characteristic curves that make it very easy to identify. The notes in the ascent are Sadja, Antara Gandhara, Suddha Madhyama, Chatusruti Dhaivata, and Kakali nishada, not necessarily sung in that order. In the descent the Suddha Rishabha joins the string of notes completing the scale. Vasantha is an ancient raga and has been prevalent for more than a 1000 years.
The classical pieces in this raga are numerous and usually medium- or fast-paced. Thyagaraja's "Sitamma Mayamma" and "Etla Dorikithivo", Dikshitar's "Maragathalingam", "Brihadambikayai" and "Hariharaputram", Papanasam Sivan's "Maal Maruga" and "Maa Dayai" are all outstanding compositions in this refreshing raga. One cannot forgetthe dancers' favourite in this raga – "Natanam adinar" by Gopalakrishna Bharati.

WHAT IS KALYUG ?????

What is Kalyug and what will happen during Kaliyug?-asked The four Pandavas
(except Yudhishthira who was not present)

Krishna smiled and said "let me demonstrate you the situation of Kalyug"

He took a bow and four arrows and shot them in four directions, and ordered the four Pandavas to bring them back. Each of the four Pabdavas went in four different directions to search for the arrows.

Arjuna- when he picked the arrow, he heard a very sweet voice.. he turned back and saw a cuckoo was singing bhajans in very spellbinding voice but was also eating flesh of a live rabbit which was in great pain.
Arjuna was very surprised to see such a gory act by such a divine bird ...he left the place immediately.

Bhima picked the arrow from a place where five wells were situated, the four wells were surrounding a single well. The four wells were overflowing with very sweet water as if they were not able to hold water and surprisingly the well in the middle of these four overflowing wells was completely empty. Bhima was also puzzled at this sight.

Nakula was returning to the place after picking up the arrow he stopped at a place where a cow was about to give birth. After giving birth the cow started licking the calf but continued to lick it even after the calf was clean, with great difficulty people were able to separate them and by that time the calf was injured badly. Nakula was puzzled by the behaviour of such calm animal.

Sahdev picked an arrow which fell near a mountain and saw a big boulder falling, the boulder was crushing the rocks and big trees on his way down, but the same boulder was stopped by a small plant. Sahdev was also amazed at this sight.

All the Pandavas asked the meaning of these incidents from Krishna who smiled and started explaining

-- In Kaliyug The priests will have very sweet voice and will also have great knowledge but they will exploit devotees the same way cuckoo was doing with rabbit.

--In Kalyug poor will live among rich, those rich will have enormous amount of wealth which will actually overflow but they will not offer a single penny to the poor same as the four well didn't had a single drop of water for the empty well.
--In Kalyug parents will love their children so much that their love will actually spoil them and will destroy their lives similar to the love shown by cow to her newborn calf.
--In Kalyug people will fall in terms of character like the boulder from the mountain and they will not be stopped by anyone at the end only the name of God will be able to hold them from doom like the little plant held the boulder from further fall.

That's the explanation of Kaliyug from Lord Krishna to Pandavas.....
