കുന്നംകുളം: ആനായ്‌ക്കലില്‍ കൊക്കുകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള നൂറുകണക്കിന്‌ ദേശാടനപ്പക്ഷികളെ ഷോക്കടിപ്പിച്ചു കൊന്നു. പക്ഷികള്‍ കൂടുകൂട്ടിയിരുന്ന കൂറ്റന്‍ പ്ലാവ്‌ മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റി. സ്വകാര്യവ്യക്‌തിയുടെ പറമ്പിലെ പ്ലാവാണ്‌ കൊടും ക്രൂരതയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഇന്നലെ ഉച്ചയ്‌ക്ക് മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റിയത്‌.

പ്ലാവില്‍ കൂടുകൂട്ടിയ പക്ഷികളുടെ കാഷ്‌ടം വീട്ടുകാര്‍ക്ക്‌ ശല്യമായെന്നു പറഞ്ഞാണ്‌ പ്ലാവ്‌ മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റിയത്‌. നഗരസഭ വികസനകാര്യ സ്‌റ്റാന്റിംഗ്‌ കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ എം.കെ. ജയസിംഗിന്റെ വീടിനു മുന്നിലുള്ള അയല്‍ വീട്ടുകാരാണ്‌ ദേശാടന പക്ഷികളോടു കൊടും ക്രൂരതകാണിച്ചത്‌. ഒരു കൊമ്പില്‍ മാത്രം 20 പക്ഷികള്‍ കൂടുകൂട്ടിയിരുന്നു. നൂറുകണക്കിന്‌ കൊക്കുകളും അവയുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും ദേശാടനപക്ഷികളും പ്ലാവിലെ വിവിധ കൊമ്പുകളില്‍ ചേക്കേറി കൂടുകൂട്ടിയിരുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഒരു മാസത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ പ്ലാവ്‌ നിറയെ പക്ഷികളായിരുന്നു.

പ്ലാവ്‌ മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റുന്നതിനുമുമ്പാണ്‌ പക്ഷികളെ ഷോക്കടിപ്പിച്ചു കൂട്ടത്തോടെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കിയത്‌. വീട്ടില്‍നിന്ന്‌ ശക്‌തിയേറിയ വൈദ്യുതി പ്രവാഹം കടത്തിവിട്ടാണ്‌ പക്ഷികളെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കിയത്‌. പക്ഷികളും പക്ഷിക്കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും കൂട്ടത്തോടെ ഷോക്കേറ്റു നിലവിളിച്ചു താഴേക്ക്‌ ചത്തുവീണുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന കാഴ്‌ച ആരെയും നൊമ്പരപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതായിരുന്നു. ചിലപക്ഷികള്‍ക്ക്‌ നിലത്തു വീണിട്ടും ജീവനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ജീവനുവേണ്ടി മല്ലിടുന്ന പക്ഷിക്കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ രോദനം ആരുടെയും ഹൃദയം പിളര്‍ക്കുന്ന കാഴ്‌ചയായിരുന്നു.

നിലത്തു ചത്തുവീണ കൊക്കുകളെ വീട്ടുകാര്‍തന്നെ നാട്ടുകാര്‍ക്ക്‌ ഭക്ഷിക്കാനായിവിതരണം ചെയ്‌തിരുന്നു. ഷോക്കടിപ്പിച്ചും ചാകാതെ ജീവന്‍ അവശേഷിച്ചു ചില പക്ഷിക്കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്‍ മുറിച്ചിട്ട പ്ലാവിന്റെ ചെറിയ കൊമ്പുകളിലെ ഇലകള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ ചുരുണ്ടുകൂടി കിടന്നിരുന്നു. വീടിനു പരിസരം ചത്ത പക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു. മനുഷ്യക്രൂരതയുടെ മറ്റൊരു മുഖമാണ്‌ ആനായ്‌ക്കലിലെ പക്ഷികളെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കിയതിലൂടെ വെളിവായത്‌.
