The 100-metre run is the shortest sprint in mega events and gets over in less than 10 seconds; usually the eight finalists having taken their spot through tough earlier rounds and semi-finals are the finest with the best timings and more often, with all of them reaching the finishing line almost at the same time with only one- or two-hundreds of a second separating them the spectators could never really make out who won the race and had to wait for the photo-finish confirmation for the outcome. Even when the redouble Carl Lewis reigning supreme, he was only slightly ahead of the pack
However, Bolt is amazing because he always wins with over a metre ahead of the nearest rival. In the last night race, Gatlin was ahead with a fabulous start, and sprinting smoothly; Bolt, usually a slow-starter, maybe erring on the side of safety after his infamous exist at the last World Athletics due to a false start, caught up with him at the 50 or 60-metre mark and surge ahead, winning easily.
Looks, Bolt will remain the greatest sprinter ever.

Architecture of holy shrines: churches vs. temples.
One may say comparisons are odious… but..
My huge collection has one album on some fine churches around and another on the finest n best of temples around the world. Friends, have a look at them purely with an eye on aesthetics. Each of the churches, at least a large majority of them, has a different kind of architecture and the insides are wonderfully illuminated by stained glasses etched with myriad images and designs in multi-hues, whereas almost all Hindu temples are alike: the south Indian ones have a gopuram or tower with pyramid-like slope – with myriad garishly coloured, almost unsightly, figurines on their external faces
And the conclusion would be inescapable…

Religious family abandons US, gets lost at sea..
Phoenix: An Arizona family was lost at sea for weeks in an ill-fated attempt to leave the US over what they consider government interference in religion. Hannah G, 26, said on Saturday that their family 'decided to take a leap of faith and see where God let us" when they set sail from San Deigo for the tiny island nation of Kiritbati in May. But just weeks into their journey, the Gastonguays were hit by a series of storms that damaged their small boat, leaving them adrift for weeks, unable to make progress. They were eventually picked up by a Venezuelan fishing vessel, transferred to a Japanese cargo ship and taken to Chile. Their flights home have been arranged by US Embassy officials.

Swedish swimmers warned of testicle-biting fish
Stockholm: Swedish men are being warned against any inclination for nude swimming after a new species of fish known for attacking testicles was discovered in their waters. The freshwater fish are mostly found in the Amazon and are known as 'ball cutters." Fish expert Henrick Carl said pacu bite when they are hungry and 'testicles sit nicely in their not so big mouth".
