Dear Mr.Kassim,

Please refer my telephonic talk at 8 PM on 7th of May 2012 with regard to the above subject in the capacity as Chief Legal Consultant of Pleace India.

With reference to your statement (during our conversation) that Madhyamam not concerned about, even if an organization going on legal about a news item or a series of news items published in your esteemed daily. I could not well explain at that time, as we are in hurry to attend an emergency executive committee on that day.

We are well aware of the above policy of Madhyamam from the stand of your daily in the famous news item which later termed as email controversy" in the Kerala State. As a legal supporting organization, and since the leaders of this organization are practicing experts in the matter of legal affairs, we know well theimplications of any such action.

The point I want to high light that, your reporter in Riyadh is acting on a personal intention of projecting some others for his own personal benefits. That is not the real media work. That is why I called and requested not release the items (which you hadpublished on 8th May 2012 disregarding our request). Your reporter have been desisted from this action by other Riyadh Media Forum members like Shakeeb Kolakkadan, Udaid Edavanna and Narendran Cherukadu. Even then he was very particular in cooking up the story against us.

Our comments about the news items published in Madhyamam dated 8th May, 2012 is attached herewith. We are not expecting that you will publish this in your daily, even though we have no objection in doing so.

We have only one simple comment that at least you will advise yourRiyadh reporter in this regard. A person with bias and partiality will not be a good media representative.

വാസ്തവവിരുദ്ധമായ പരസ്യങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കി ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ കബളിപ്പിച്ച കേസില്‍ ഇന്ദുലേഖ, ധാത്രി, ശ്രീധരീയം എന്നീ ഉല്‍പന്നങ്ങളുടെ ലൈസന്‍സ് റദ്ദാക്കും. ഇതിനുളള നടപടികള്‍ ഡ്രഗ് കണ്‍ട്രാളര്‍ വിഭാഗം ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഈ ഉല്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്ന കമ്പനികളുടെ നിര്‍മ്മാതാക്കള്‍ക്കെതിരേ കേസെടുത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞതായി അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. ഇന്നലെ സംസ്ഥാന വ്യാപകമായി നടത്തിയ റെയ്ഡില്‍ ഉല്‍പ്പനങ്ങള്‍ പിടിച്ചെടുത്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് കമ്പനികള്‍ക്കെതിരെ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നത്.

വ്യാജ പരസ്യം നല്‍കുന്നതിനെതിരെ സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരിന് ലഭിച്ച പരാതിയിന്മേല്‍ ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പ് സെക്രട്ടറി നല്‍കിയ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് റെയ്ഡും നടപടികളും ഉണ്ടായത്. ഇന്ദുലേഖ, ധാത്രി, ശ്രീധരീയം എന്നിവയുടെ ഉല്‍പ്പന്നങ്ങളാണ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത്. 52 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ ഉല്പന്നങ്ങളാണ് ധാത്രിയില്‍ നിന്നും ഇന്ദുലേഖയില്‍ നിന്നുംമാത്രം പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത്. ശ്രീധരീയത്തില്‍ നിന്നും 125100രൂപയുടെ സാധനങ്ങളാണ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത്.

ഇന്ദുലേഖയുടെ കണ്ണൂര്‍, തലശേരി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ നിര്‍മാണ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലും ധാത്രിയുടെ മൂവാറ്റുപുഴ ഏറണാകുളം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലുമാണ് റെയ്ഡ് നടന്നത്. ഇന്ദുലേഖ ബ്രിംഗ കംപ്ലീറ്റ് ഹെയര്‍ കെയര്‍ ഓയില്‍, ഇന്ദുലേഖ കംപ്ലീറ്റ് സ്‌കിന്‍ ക്രീം, ശ്രീധരീയം സ്മാര്‍ട്ട്‌ലീന്‍, ധാത്രി ഫെയര്‍ സ്‌കിന്‍ ക്രീം, ധാത്രി ഹെയര്‍ കെയര്‍ ഹെര്‍ബല്‍ ഓയില്‍, ധാത്രി ഹെയര്‍ കെയര്‍ ക്യാപ്‌സ്യൂള്‍സ്, ധാത്രി ദൈവിറ്റ പ്ലസ് ക്യപ്‌സ്യൂള്‍സ്, ഇന്ദുലേഖ സ്‌കിന്‍ കെയര്‍ ഓയില്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ ഉല്പന്നങ്ങളാണ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത്. പരിശോധനയില്‍ പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത ഉല്‍പ്പനങ്ങള്‍ ഇന്ന് കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കും.

കോടികളുടെ പരസ്യം മുന്‍നിര മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ചാനലുകള്‍ക്കും ഈ കമ്പനികള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതു കൊണ്ട് റെയ്ഡ് വാര്‍ത്ത എല്ലാ പ്രമുഖ ചാനലുകളും പത്രങ്ങളും മുക്കി. എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് സോഷ്യല്‍ നെറ്റ്‌വര്‍ക്ക് സൈറ്റുകളിലും മറ്റും പ്രചരിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയതോടെ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ പേര് ഇല്ലാതെ വാര്‍ത്ത ചില മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതും ഓണ്‍ലൈനില്‍ മാത്രം. ഈ വാര്‍ത്ത മുക്കല്‍ നാടകത്തിനെതിരേ വ്യാപകമായ പ്രതിഷേധമാണ് സോഷ്യല്‍ നെറ്റ്‌വര്‍ക്ക് സൈറ്റുകളില്‍ ഉയര്‍ന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.

കോടികള്‍ ചിലവഴിച്ച് പരസ്യം നല്‍കുന്ന കമ്പനികള്‍ പരസ്യത്തില്‍ അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നത് തെറ്റാണെന്ന് ഡ്രഗ്‌സ്‌ കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ വിഭാഗം പറയുന്നു.തലച്ചോറിലെ രക്തപ്രവാഹം വര്‍ധിക്കും, പുതിയ മുടുയിഴകള്‍ വളര്‍ത്തും താരന്‍ അകറ്റും തുടങ്ങിയ പരസ്യവാചകങ്ങളാണ് ഇന്ദുലേഖ ഹെയര്‍കെര്‍ ഓയില്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്. ഇതിന്റെ ലീഫ്‌ലെറ്റിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് തര്‍ജമയില്‍ താരന്റെ കാര്യം പറയുന്നതേയില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ ഈ ഗുണങ്ങളൊന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ലെന്നാണ് ഉപഭോക്താക്കളുടെ പരാതി. കൂടാതെ മുഖം വെളുപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന വാഗ്ദാനത്തോടെ വിപണിയിലെത്തിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ദുലേഖ കംപ്ലീറ്റ് സ്‌കിന്‍ ക്രീം വാങ്ങിയിട്ട് ഒരു പ്രയോജനവുമില്ല. തടികുറയ്ക്കുമെന്നും ഫിറ്റ്നസ് നിലനിര്‍ത്തുമെന്നും പറഞ്ഞ് വിപണിയിലെത്തിയ ഉല്പന്നമാണ് സ്മാര്‍ട്ട് ലീന്‍. മുടിവളരുമെന്നും സ്‌ട്രെസും സ്‌ട്രെയിനും മാറുമെന്നുമൊക്കെയാണ് ധാത്രി നല്‍കിയ വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങള്‍. തെറ്റായ പ്രചാരണങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമല്ല 10 രൂപപോലും മുതല്‍ മുടക്കില്ലാത്ത ഇത്തരം ഉല്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ വന്‍വിലയാണ് ഉപഭോക്താക്കളില്‍ നിന്ന് ഈടാക്കുന്നത്‌. 100 മില്ലി ഇന്ദുലേഖ ഓയിലിന് 400 രൂപയാണ് ഈടാക്കിയിരുന്നത്.

ഡ്രഗ്‌സ് ആന്‍ഡ് മാജിക്കല്‍ റെമഡീസ് ആക്റ്റ് പ്രകാരം വ്യാജപരസ്യം നല്‍കിയതിനും മിസ് ബ്രാന്റിംഗ് നടത്തിയതിനും ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ വഞ്ചിച്ചതിനും നിര്‍മ്മാതാക്കള്‍ക്കെതിരെ കേസെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. പരസ്യത്തിലൂടെ തെറ്റായ അവകാശവാദം നല്‍കി ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ കബളിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ഡ്രഗ്‌സ് ആന്‍ഡ് മാജിക്കല്‍ റെമഡീസ് ആക്റ്റ് പ്രകാരം ഒരു വര്ഷം വരെ തടവും പിഴയും ലഭിക്കാവുന്ന കുറ്റമാണ്. ലൈസന്‍സ് ലഭിച്ച ഉല്‍പ്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാതെ വ്യാജ ഉല്‍പ്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കി വിപണിയില്‍ എത്തിച്ചതിനു മിസ് ബ്രാന്റിങ്ങിനും കേസടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഇത്തരം തെറ്റായ പ്രചരണങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഉല്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ പരസ്യപ്പെടുത്തി ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ വഞ്ചിക്കുന്നത് തടയാന്‍ കാര്യക്ഷമമായ നിയമം നിലവില്ലാത്തത് ഇതുപോലുള്ള തട്ടിപ്പുകള്‍ പെരുകാന്‍ കാരണമാകുന്നുണ്ടത്രെ. നിലവില്‍ ഇതുപോലുള്ള കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങള്‍ തെളിയിക്കപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ 500 രൂപ പിഴയോ ആറ് മാസം തടവോ മാത്രമേ ശിക്ഷയുള്ളൂ.

വാര്‍ത്ത മുക്കിയതില്‍ ഏറ്റവും മുന്നില്‍ നിന്നത് ഒന്നാം വാര്‍ഷികം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടര്‍ ചാനലാണ്. റെയ്ഡുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വാര്‍ത്ത റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടര്‍ ചാനലിന്റെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം, കൊച്ചി, കോഴിക്കോട് ബ്യൂറോകളില്‍ നിന്നും ഫയല്‍ ചെയ്ത് നല്‍കിയെങ്കിലും ഡസ്‌കിലെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ വാര്‍ത്ത പൂഴ്ത്തി. താന്റെ ചാനല്‍ വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ പൂഴ്ത്തില്ലെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച്‌ ഇറങ്ങിയ നികേഷ് കുമാറിന്റെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടര്‍ ചാനലിന്റെ ഗതിയും ഇതാണ്.

A dervish was once sitting alone, meditating in a patch of desert. A ruler passed by. The dervish, being free from the cares of this world, neither lifted his head nor paid any attention. The ruler, with the violent pride of power, was furious and said: "These dervishes in their patched cloaks are no better than animals!"

His minister scolded the dervish and said: "The great ruler of all the world passed by and you did not stand and bow: why were you so rude?"

The dervish replied: "Tell your king to expect those people to bow who hope for some reward from him. Tell him that rulers are there to protect their people. The people were not created just to obey rulers. The ruler is the watchman of the poor, though he has greater wealth and glory. The sheep are not made for the shepherd, rather the shepherd is there to serve the sheep. Look around you: today you see one man carefree and successful, the other struggling sore-hearted to survive. Wait a day or two, and see how the earth devours the brain once troubled with so many foolish thoughts! When the irresistible decrees of Fate are issued, neither king nor slave remain. Open up the tomb and search these dusty bones: can you tell which was the rich man or which was the pauper?"

The ruler was struck by the words of the dervish. He said: "Ask me a favour!"

The dervish replied: "I would ask you to never disturb me again."

The king begged: "Give me a word of advice!"

The dervish replied:"Now that wealth is in your hands, realize before it is too late, that this wealth and this power pass from hand to hand."

With daring new designs, several California-based architectural firms are making waves with concepts that will change what America knows about home design and dcor. California Home + Design is spotlighting several of the homes, as well as the architects who made them possible. One of the homes, located in Malibu, was redesigned with actual wings from a jumbo jet, which architect David Hertz envisioned after the homeowner came to him with a desire for a curved roof. The Bridge House, designed by San Francisco-based architect Stanley Staitowitz, is built across a ravine on a 15-acre property in San Anselmo. Attracting architecture awards and plenty of eyeballs across the country, the unique designs are blowing the roof off conventional homebuilding.
